Vaccinations

Puppies

Our standard vaccination course for puppies can be carried out from 8 weeks old and involves 2 single injections 2-4 weeks apart. Your puppy will only be fully protected 2 weeks after its 2nd injection. Until this time it is not safe to walk your puppy in any public areas where there may be other unvaccinated dogs. Thereafter, dogs must receive an annual booster vaccination.

The diseases covered by these vaccinations are Canine Distemper, Canine Infectious Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis. Please be aware that Kennel Cough is a separate vaccination. Please contact us for more information on this.

Kittens

Our standard vaccination course for kittens can be started from 9 weeks old and involves 2 single injections 3-4 weeks apart. Your kitten will then be protected 2 weeks after its second injection and should be kept indoors during this time. Thereafter, they must receive an annual booster vaccination.

This vaccination course will protect kittens against Feline panleucopaenia, Feline herpes virus type 1 and Feline Calicivirus. In some specific cases kittens may also require to be vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia virus.
