I started work with the practice in October 2011 and mainly work at the farm services office in Kilmarnock. I enjoy walks on the beach and spending time with my sister. I have recently rescued a young Jack Russell. She definitely keeps me on my toes!
Meet the team

Joan Haywood
Anne McHarg
I have been working at the practice as a Veterinary Nursing Assistant since February 2022. I grew up on a dairy farm and previously worked as a milk recorder so have a good grasp on the large animal side of the practice. I spend most of my day caring for the inpatients. Outside work, I enjoy many sports and activities including tug of war, cycling, hill walking and walking my dog.

Kat Goldie
I have been a vet nurse for over 10 years and joined Armour Vet Group in January 2022. In my spare time I enjoy going out with friends, cooking and walking my dog Grouse.

Fiona Holland
I joined Armour Vet Group in January 2022. I initially graduated from SAC in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Science which led to a PhD in Microbiology and a succession of posts in the Research and Pharmaceutical Industry. I live locally in Ayrshire with my husband, son, many chickens, ducks and bees. I enjoy socialising and cooking for friends.
Lisa Craig
I graduated from Glasgow vet school in July 2022. I started my veterinary career in mixed practice in Kirkcudbright before moving home to Ayrshire prior to getting married in late 2023. I started with Armour Vet Group in February 2024. I enjoy the variety of mixed practice work however I am particularly interested in dairy cow fertility and transition cow management. In my spare time I am often found working on my home family dairy farm, spending time with family or hillwalking.

Lorraine Cree
I joined Armour Vet Group in 2024. I'm married with two older children and three Setters that keep me busy. My husband and I enjoy holidays and weekends exploring Scotland and the islands in our campervan. When I have spare time I love restoring and cleaning my collection of vintage Silvercross prams.

Anna Sherry
I graduated from Glasgow University in 2025 and have recently joined the team at Armour. I'm excited to get started as a mixed practice vet with a particular interest in large animals. Outside of work I keep myself busy spending time with my horse and dog from back home, playing netball and wild swimming (as well as looking for coffee shops to warm myself back up afterwards!).

Alistair Smith
I joined Armour in 2023 having previously worked in Kirriemuir, New Zealand and Lanarkshire. I enjoy the variety of mixed practice and happiest when out on call doing jobs in the sun. In my spare time I work at home on the family dairy and sheep farm. I enjoy socialising and outdoor pursuits.
