Fleas

Prevention is always better than cure. Flea infestations can occur all year round and not just in the summer months. Most cats and dogs can have fleas and show very minimal signs. It is only when the infestation becomes very large or the animal has an allergy to the fleas that more signs are seen.

For every one adult flea there are 500 potential fleas at varying stages in your house in the form of eggs, larvae and pupae.

In the case of a flea infestation all animals in the household must be treated with an appropriate product. The house itself must also be treated with an effective spray. This is important because so much of the flea lifecycle occurs off the animal.

A much easier and cost-effective method is to preventatively treat for fleas using a product recommended by ourselves. There are a variety of products available and we can advise on what is most suitable for your pet.
