I graduated in 1997 and have worked at Armour Vet Group ever since, becoming a partner in 1999. During this time I have seen the business grow from a 2 vet to a 6 vet practice. I have a keen interest in dairy cow fertility and mastitis investigation, however being part of a mixed practice also allows me to continue my interests in small animal surgery. In my spare time I run a small farm which consists of a flock of pedigree Blue Faced Leicesters and some pedigree Beef Shorthorn cows. Any other spare time is spent with my wife and 4 kids.

I graduated in 1999 and have worked in Ayrshire ever since. I began work at Armour Vet Group in 2006 and became a partner in 2008. I enjoy all aspects of my job but especially enjoy dairy cow nutrition and lameness issues in cows. Outwith work I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 children. I also have a small herd of pedigree Blonde cattle which I enjoy showing and also doing some judging when asked. Golfing is a past-time of mine when time allows, playing locally at Ballochmyle.
Eilidh Casby
I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in July 2008 and have been with the practice since then. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and especially enjoy the wide variety that mixed practice brings. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two girls, socialising with friends and walking the dog in the Ayrshire countryside.
Petra Ronnegard Hewitt
I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1997. I started my veterinary career in mixed practice in Dumfries which I really enjoyed. I then moved on to work in a small animal practice to pursue my interest in small animal surgery. I have worked in several small animal practices south and north of the border, gaining invaluable experience. I joined Armour Vet Group in 2014. I have a keen interest in arthritis and pain control. I am open minded and believe that veterinary medicine together with complementary medicine has a synergistic effect on our pet’s treatment. I have practiced veterinary acupuncture since 2000. When I am not working as a vet, I am a mum of 4! I enjoy painting, swimming and gardening - I love flowers and run a wee craft business, mainly during the winter months.

Elizabeth Johnston
I started work at the practice in March 2012. Married to a local farmer, it feels like I am semi-retired now that my family of 3 have all flown the nest. Previous employment has been quite solitary so thoroughly enjoying this new job with such a fun, friendly, helpful bunch!
